Volunteer Coaching

Requirements for Coaches:

All volunteer coaches, regardless of being a head coach or an assistant coach, in the Borough of Woodcliff Lake MUST comply with ALL State and Borough requirements, including:

Rutgers SAFETY Clinic:
All coaches must take this course once and won't need to take it again. For more information and available courses can be found here Rutgers Youth Sports Research Council

HEADS UP Concussion Course:
This is a course that should be taken once a year. The course can be found here: HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Coaches | HEADS UP | CDC Injury Center and make sure to click the link for Coaches. There is no fee to take the course.

Background Check:
Per New Jersey State Police all volunteer coaches should go to the IdentoGO website and use the following service codes to schedule their fingerprint appointment.
2F1J3Y - NJSP Volunteer (use if you're volunteering for your local municipality)
Note that the results of this go directly to the WCL Police Department and no town organization is in receipt of such results. For the 2^nd page in the PDF, the name and address of the organization is Woodcliff Lake Park and Recreation, 188 Pascack road Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Name and address of subject is the person being fingerprinted and the Applicant PCN number is something you should receive from Identigo the day you get fingerprinted.

- Forms/Online training can be acquired via the association you choose to volunteer with.

- In the busy season of sports, the background/finger printing appointments could take up to 2 weeks, so email early to get this completed before the sports season begins.
