Safe at Home Repair Program - Bergen County
In Need of Home Repairs?
Safe at Home is a new stay in place critical home repair program from Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County. The program is for seniors and individuals with a documented physical disability. Eligible homeowners in Bergen County can receive low to no cost residential repairs to help them maintain their home and retain independence.
Eligible Homeowners Include
- Seniors (55+)
- Individuals with physical disabilities
Virtual info sessions will be taking place monthly and include a pre-application.

- Replacement of exterior building
- Fence installation or replacement
- Landscaping / gardening
Critical Repairs
- Basic roof repair

- Duct sealing
- Insulating attics
- Replacing or servicing HVAC units
Accessibility
- Wheelchair ramps and lifts
- Pathway / doorway modifications
