Property fraud can occur when individuals attempt to record fraudulent documents, such as fake deeds or liens, against a property. In some cases, these fraudulent filings may go undetected for years.
The Bergen County Clerk’s Office offers a free Property Alert Service that provides email notifications whenever a document bearing your name is recorded with the County Clerk’s Office.
