Woodcliff Lake Cares: Connect. Educate. Support. – Community Health & Wellness Event on November 10

The Borough of Woodcliff Lake invites residents to attend a community Health & Wellness event on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Tice Senior Community Center.

The evening will feature the unveiling of Woodcliff Lake's first Buster Box, providing free Narcan (naloxone), a lifesaving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. The Buster Box is being donated by Woodcliff Lake resident Patrice Lenowitz in memory of her son, Max Lenowitz, to help increase access to this important resource and promote overdose awareness and prevention in the community.

Guest Speakers

The program will feature three guest speakers who will share their perspectives and experiences related to substance-use prevention, recovery, overdose awareness, and family support:

  • Samantha Marri, sister of Buster Marri and member of the Marri family, whose support helped launch the Buster Box initiative throughout Bergen County.
  • Ellen Carmody, Co-Director of Parent Programs at Alumni in Recovery, who supports individuals and families affected by substance use and recovery.
  • Patrice Lenowitz, Woodcliff Lake resident and mother of Max Lenowitz, whose generous contribution is bringing the Borough's first Buster Box to the community in her son's memory.

Attendees will learn about current drug threats, the importance of Narcan, overdose prevention, and ways community members can help individuals and families affected by substance use.

The Borough is presenting this event in collaboration with Hills Valley Coalition and Alumni in Recovery.

Residents are encouraged to attend this informative evening and learn how they can help build a healthier, more connected, and more supportive Woodcliff Lake community.
